Beyond Myself explores Filipino migrants’ aspirations for and investments in their own and others’ futures in the Philippines. Specifically it draws on and curates art works and visual images produced mainly through a series of participatory workshops with Filipino migrants living and working in London and Hong Kong. Place of Region in the Contemporary was a showcase of four projects at the Vargas in December 2017-January 2018. One of the four projects is still on view at the 3F Sensorium: Texts about artist-curator Raymundo Albano are displayed alongside his poetry and curatorial and graphic design.
