The exhibition revisits the work of Delotavo as a way to appreciate the art of the film poster and to understand the contexts of this form: the film industry and its stars, the techniques and styles of graphic design, and the artistic considerations underlying what Delotavo, who was known for his witty catch lines that complemented the images on the poster, calls the “visual telegram.” Continue reading

Beyond Myself explores Filipino migrants’ aspirations for and investments in their own and others’ futures in the Philippines. Specifically it draws on and curates art works and visual images produced mainly through a series of participatory workshops with Filipino migrants living and working in London and Hong Kong. The arts based workshops enabled participants, mainly Filipino care and domestic workers, to reflect on the different meanings of development and their contributions. Continue reading
Living Architecture Exhibition is intended to raise awareness on the relationship between architecture and the natural, social and cultural life which it is part of. By showcasing various projects from four phases within the search for “Living Architecture” and engaging the audiences with two outdoor installations by Filipino artists Junyee and Indy Paredes at the Vargas Museum, Living Architecture Exhibition aims to adhere to a more sustainable and life-oriented approach to architecture.
