Curatorial Development Program 2015

Curatorial Dev Program 2015The Japan Foundation Asia Center and the University of the Philippines Vargas Museum announce a call for applications for a Curatorial Workshop in November 2015.

It is a program aimed at enhancing expertise in curating contemporary art and related platforms. Selected participants are required to present an exhibition/art project proposal at the workshop and two participants will receive a grant for a two week research tour in Japan (February 22-March 6. 2016), after which they will be asked to organize an exhibition/art project in 2017 in the Philippines.

Date: November 28-30, 2015 (3 days)

Venue: University of the Philippines Vargas Museum
(UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City)

Please submit the application form in full with required documents to the Japan Foundation, Manila via e-mail (mocampo@jfmo.org.ph) with subject heading “Curators’ Workshop 2015” by 30th October, 2015.

About Jorge B. Vargas Museum

It aims to preserve its collection donated by Jorge B. Vargas and conducts research, exhibitions, publications, and educational programs. The Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center houses a museum, archives, and library devoted to the Philippine history, art, and culture from the late 19th century until the post-war era. Its main beneficiaries are students, faculty, researchers and scholars of the Philippines and Asia.
