Call for Application | Curatorial Workshop 2014

The Japan Foundation and the University of the Philippines Vargas Museum announce a call for applications to a Curatorial Workshop in March 2014. It is a program aimed to enhance expertise in installing and curating contemporary art and related platforms.Upon culmination of the workshop, three participants will receive a grant for a study tour in Japan (within two weeks in July-September 2014), after which they will be asked to organize an exhibition in December 2014 at the Vargas Museum.

Date: March 3 – 7, 2014
Venue: University of the Philippines Vargas Museum

Please submit the duly accomplished application form and other required documents (please see under DOWNLOAD section) to the Japan Foundation, Manila via e-mail (email@jfmo.org.ph) or postal mail (23/F, Pacific Star Bldg., Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue corner Makati Avenue, Makati City) on or before Friday, January 10, 2014.

About Jorge B. Vargas Museum

It aims to preserve its collection donated by Jorge B. Vargas and conducts research, exhibitions, publications, and educational programs. The Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center houses a museum, archives, and library devoted to the Philippine history, art, and culture from the late 19th century until the post-war era. Its main beneficiaries are students, faculty, researchers and scholars of the Philippines and Asia.
