The Future of Art
Junior Museum Guides
19 May to 2 June 2012
Basement C

The Junior Museum Guides, the annual summer program of the museum for students ages 9-14 years old opens the exhibit The Future of Art. They write:

Our exhibit is a collection of prints, soft sculptures, installation, and journal entries which we did as participants of the Junior Museum Guides Workshop. The works that we made individually show our uniqueness, while the paper installation titled City of Bliss demonstrate our ability to communicate and work as a team.  Thinking about the idea of “community”, we used clay to depict a ghastly underworld, a grand kingdom, or a fancy island resort. We wrote short stories about them, too.
