Clay Art Workshop for Beginners

Learn the basic techniques in handling clay with the spirit of play and free expression with terra cotta artist and painter Aba Lluch Dalena.

Lessons include basic techniques in handling clay, sculpting with a free theme — figurative, functional and abstracted forms, and mending and painting clay works.

Schedule: Saturdays (once a week)
First batch: April 18, 25, May 2 and 9
Second batch: May 16, 23, 39 and June 6

Venue: Basement B. UP Vargas Museum

Participants: Children and adults

Workshop fee: PhP 4,800 for 4 sessions, inclusive of clay materials and firing

About Jorge B. Vargas Museum

It aims to preserve its collection donated by Jorge B. Vargas and conducts research, exhibitions, publications, and educational programs. The Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center houses a museum, archives, and library devoted to the Philippine history, art, and culture from the late 19th century until the post-war era. Its main beneficiaries are students, faculty, researchers and scholars of the Philippines and Asia.
